The Wonder of Shelter Cove

I am going to be cliché, but there is no place on earth like Shelter Cove. It's the craziest combination of hippie, libertarian, naturalists, artists, and retired folks I have ever seen in one place. It is also stunningly beautiful and wild.

There aren't a lot of traditional things to do so everyone entertains themselves. You can hike, explore the tidepools, paint, nature watch, fish, surf, sculpt, grow (stuff), cook, birdwatch, read a book, or just hang out with friends. It's a wonderful place to unplug and just be a part of the world.

For me, the Cove is all about nature. It's about turning off the electronics and tuning into the natural world. This is a place where I can turn off my brain and just be. For me, that is rare to find. When you start paying attention you notice how much is going on all around you. Here is a little snippet of what it sounds like in the forest 400 feet above the waves.
